Product FAQs

How do you heat Tonic Heat Pillows?
Place the heat pillow or wrap in the microwave, ensuring turntable is clean. Heat on high for 1 minute, turning half way through to prevent hot spots. If further heating is required, repeat in 20 second increments until desired temperature is reached. Do not heat for more than 2 minutes continuously.
Not suitable for use in flatbed microwaves.
To use as a cooling pillow, place in refrigerator until desired temperature is reached.

Why are Tonic Heat Pillows filled with Barley instead of Wheat?
Tonic Heat Pillows are filled with barley as we find that not only does it retain heat for longer than wheat but is also a more neutral fragrance when heated. Wheat pillows can sometimes have a porridge like odour. Most of our heat pillow styles are filled with dried lavender blended with the Barley. Our Luxe Linen collection are each filled with unique blends of ingredients for a unique experience. Ingredients can be found on each product page.

Can Tonic Heat Pillows be washed?
Due to the barley filling all heat pillows should be carefully spot cleaned only with a lightly damp cloth. The barley filling cannot get wet.
